In the training ‘Intercultural Communication’ you will get acquainted with culturally-dependent, different communication styles and lines of communication in companies. You will learn techniques to overcome obstacles in communication and to avoid misunderstanding and conflict:

  • How intercultural misunderstanding and conflict occur
  • Iceberg model to demonstrate culturally driven patterns
  • Typical communication styles, lines of communication and hierarchical structures using the examples of companies in India, China, Iran and Germany
  • Characteristics of a transcultural communication style
  • Exercise: positive and neutral cross-cultural communication

This training can be combined with any other training from Sommer & Partner Consulting.

Learning Objective

After the training, participants understand why and how intercultural misunderstanding and conflict occurs and how to overcome hurdles at work. They can recognize different communication styles and adapt the own style in a way that they can communicate successfully and culturally-independent with any communication partner.

Duration, Location and Format

The training lasts two hours and takes place in a virtual room. Access information will be provided in advance. If you have specific questions or case studies you would like to discuss during the training, let us know on the order form. The content is delivered through a presentation, case examples, exercise and dialogue with the trainer.

Number of Attendees and Costs

The training 'Intercultural Communication' is for between 1 and 6 attendees. The net price for the training is CHF 500 and applies for the entire group of attendees. If you want to book multiple sessions or a variety of training courses, please ask for our special offers.
