In the training 'Culture and Work', you will explore cultural drivers using examples from Western and Asian cultures. You will identify the impact of individual, cultural and social imprints on workplace behaviour and learn, how these evolve and which implications they have for the diversity of the company. The training covers

• How to describe 'culture'
• Our cultural heritage: How Confucius and Socrates explained the world
• Models: cultural dimensions and iceberg model
• Challenges and chances in intercultural collaboration
• Exercise: cultural analysis on the basis of practical examples

This training can be combined with any other training from Sommer & Partner Consulting.

Learning Objective

After the training, participants understand why people at work can behave very differently. They also understand the concept of cultural drivers and how to classify them historically. Participants can analyze culturally driven behavior and acknowledge why intercultural collaboration sometimes proves to be difficult. They understand that culture is not a borderline criteria and that different cultures bring along different resources which are also valuable assets for companies.

Duration, Location and Format

The training lasts two hours and takes place in a virtual room. Access information will be provided in advance. If you have specific questions or case studies you would like to discuss during the training, let us know on the order form. The content is delivered through a presentation, case examples, exercise and dialogue with the trainer.
